Sometimes I wonder what would happen if the ten-year-old version of me could spend a day in my life now.
Not the version of me that was worried about growing up or trying to figure everything out. Just little me. The girl who spent hours making Pinterest boards, writing down impossible dreams in notebooks, and imagining what her future might look like.
I think she’d be shocked by a lot of things.
Not because my life is perfect. It definitely isn’t. But because so many things that feel normal to me now would have seemed completely magical back then.
The Magazine Dream That Somehow Became Real

The biggest one would probably be Sakuranbo.
If you had told younger me that one day I would have my own magazine brand, create my own hoodies and be apart of a community that genuinely loves it, I don’t think she would have believed you. A real magazine. Not a pretend one stapled together from printer paper in my bedroom, but actual issues that people order, collect, photograph, and read.
Little me was the type of girl who treated magazines like treasure. She would spend ages flipping through pages, saving inspiration, and imagining what it would be like to create something people were excited to receive.
The fact that Sakuranbo Magazine exists at all still feels surreal sometimes.
What started as an idea became something real.
And I think that’s the part younger me would love most.
Not the business side.
Not the numbers.
Just the fact that we actually did it.
We took something that existed only in our imagination and turned it into something people can hold in their hands!
Travelling To Places I Used To See Online
Then there’s the travelling.
When you’re younger, places like Los Angeles, Dubai, or Disneyland Paris feel impossibly far away. They’re places you save on Pinterest. They’re places you watch in vlogs. They’re places that belong to people who seem to live completely different lives from yours. At least that’s how they felt to me… I remember imagining what it would be like to walk through places I’d only ever seen on a screen. Now, somehow, those places are memories.
Last April I was in LA!
I’ve wandered around Disneyland Paris feeling like I was inside one of the films I grew up watching.
I’ve stood in Dubai looking up at buildings that genuinely don’t look real when you’re seeing them for the first time.
Every time I travel somewhere new, I have a moment where I think, “Little me would absolutely freak out right now.”
Because she would.
She wouldn’t care about airport queues or delayed flights.
She’d just be amazed that we actually made it there.
Learning That Food Isn’t Something To Feel Guilty About
One thing younger me would probably be happiest about is something much smaller.
Food.
